Pressure is inevitable.Reactivity doesn’t have to be.
Let’s Start With a Conversation
The Aurora Method® helps high-performing professionals recognize the patterns that drive their reactions, navigate workplace conflict, and build the awareness and skills to communicate, connect, and perform better under pressure.
The Hidden Cost of High Performance
High performers are often exceptionally good at functioning under pressure. They know how to push through, solve problems, meet expectations, and keep going—even when the pressure is taking a toll.
But pressure doesn't just affect how we feel. It changes how we communicate, make decisions, handle conflict, connect with others, and lead.
When we're triggered, we don't always respond to what's happening in the moment. We can react through patterns shaped long before we entered the workplace—pushing harder, taking control, shutting down, avoiding conflict, becoming defensive, or trying to hold everything together. And because many of these behaviors are rewarded in high-performance environments, they can remain invisible until they begin affecting our effectiveness, relationships, and well-being.
In this interactive workshop, Tracy Doyle introduces participants to the Reaction Cascade, a practical framework for understanding what happens between a triggering moment and the reaction that follows. Participants identify their own patterns under pressure and learn how to interrupt automatic reactions before they drive behavior.
Through teaching, guided reflection, practical exercises, and conversation, participants learn to create the critical space between reaction and intentional response so they can communicate more effectively, navigate pressure with greater awareness, and lead with clarity.
Participants will learn to:
- Recognize the triggers and automatic patterns that emerge when pressure rises—and how those patterns affect communication, relationships, decision-making, and leadership.
- Understand the Reaction Cascade and how thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and past experiences can turn a present-day challenge into an automatic reaction.
- Recognize the hidden cost of operating on autopilot—for the individual, the team, and the organization.
- Interrupt the reaction cycle in real time using practical tools that create space between trigger and response.
The Aurora Method® for High-Performance Teams
High-performing teams are no strangers to pressure. But pressure doesn't stay contained within the individual. It changes how people communicate, interpret one another's behavior, handle disagreement, make decisions, and respond when things don't go as planned.
And that's where conflict can begin.
Under pressure, our automatic response patterns can take over. One person pushes harder. Another shuts down. Someone becomes defensive. Someone avoids the conversation altogether. What begins as a challenging moment can quickly become a Reaction Cascade, with each person's response triggering the next.
The Aurora Method® for High-Performance Teams is a three-day immersive training experience that helps participants understand what is happening beneath workplace conflict, not simply how to manage it once it occurs.
Participants learn to recognize the triggers and pressure-response patterns influencing their behavior; understand how their reactions affect others; and develop practical tools for interrupting the Reaction Cascade before it escalates.
Rather than teaching conflict management as a set of communication techniques alone, the Aurora Method® goes deeper by addressing the internal patterns people bring into difficult interactions in the first place.
Through teaching, guided self-reflection, experiential exercises, workplace scenarios, and practical application, participants develop greater emotional awareness and accountability and learn how to navigate pressure, disagreement, and difficult conversations with greater clarity and intention.
The result is a shared language and practical framework teams can use to move from reaction to response, conflict to conversation, and disconnection to connection.
Participants will learn to:
- Understand their pressure-response patterns by identifying the triggers and thought patterns that fuel the Reaction Cascade.
- Recognize how individual reactions create interpersonal and team conflict, including how different response patterns can collide, escalate conflict, or cause people to withdraw and avoid difficult situations.
- Build emotional accountability and conflict awareness by separating the current situation from the emotions and assumptions it activates and taking ownership of their response and impact.
- Apply the Aurora Method® to workplace conflict to interrupt reactive patterns, navigate difficult conversations, establish healthier boundaries, repair disconnection, and respond with greater clarity and intention.
